2007 Call Stats

The 2007 call statistics have been completed for the PKFD. The department took a total of 358 runs in 2007. This is a brief run down by call type.

RECENT EMERGENCY RUNS

Centerburg 1-31-08

PKFD assisted Centerburg with a house fire on Clayton St in Centerburg on the evening of the 31st. Sta 380 sent a full station response sending 15 firefighters and equipment to help with the fire. Station 420 marked on the scene with fire showing on the second floor.

 

CHRISTMAS MORNING 12-25-07

PKFD assisted Centerburg Fire with an auto accident Christmas morning. The accident was north of Centerburg on SR3 and required the extrication of the driver.

Trailer Fire with Elm Valley FD 1-23-08 Approx 430am

PKFD responded with Tanker 381 and Engine 382 to a mbile home fire that was well off upon arrival of EVFD units with exposures close by. T381 assisted with water supply while the crew from E382 assisted EVFD and Tri TWP firefighters in overhaul of the structure. NBC4 story

Fatal Crash on I-71 NB 1-23-08 approx 730 am

PKFD was alerted to a serious crash on Interstate 71 NB 124 mile marker with a van vs a semi. PKFD responded with Rescue 381 and Rescue382 and was assisted by BST&G Rescue 351,Medic 2 , Medic 6 and EMS 461. Unfortunatly the driver of the van was killed in the crash. Several Delaware County Fire Dept. and EMS crews have responded to crashes on I 71 over the past week several of wich have involved serious injuries and some fatalities.
